Description:
Antique Civil War COLT Model 1860 .44 Army Revolver (4 Screw Civilian Model) serial number 13713 in very fine condition overall, the pistol showing typical wartime wear and use. The revolver is matching except for the barrel wedge and the weapon functions, cocks and locks, but the trigger drops the hammer very quickly, so there is internal wear. Although this is a Civil War pistol, it is a civilian model as it lacks military proofs and stock cartouches.

This pistol is a scarce “Four Screw” Civilian version of the Model 1860 Army and features a four-screw frame, an early method to attach a shoulder stock. The recoil shield and the base of the grip frame are cut for shoulder stock attachment.
