Custom Winchester pre 64 model 70 chambered in 300 Winchester Magnum.
What's unusual is that all the metal work and stock were by D'arcy Echols. At some point the person who commissioned the work backed out of the project and all the parts were returned to him. He later had a local gunsmith complete the project.
Basically you have a D'arcy Echols rifle without his name on it. A completed rifle from Echols in this grade would be $15,000. Photos of paperwork explain everything.
Rifle weighs 7lbs 9oz with a 13 7/8 LOP. Barrel length is 25 inches and is bright and shiny. Bottom metal is Swift/Blackburn. A beautiful reworked m70 trigger with a clean crisp let off. A half inch rifle with my hand loads.
