Description:
26 inch Number 1 weight octagon barrel chambered in 32 Short Rim Fire caliber. Rifling is defined but darkening with some pitting. Sights include a replaced flip up front with a semi-buckhorn sporting rear. Barrel is a brown patina with good markings. Receiver is a brown patina with no visible colors. Hammer and lever are also mostly brown with just a slight hint of color. Appears to be a semi-deluxe or custom order Sporting Rifle. Checkered walnut straight grip stock and checkered forearm with ebony inset tip show thinning checkering and scattered nicks and dings. Rifle style buttplate. Action functions properly. Manufactured 1887.
