"Serial No. 54402, made August 1944, 8x22mm, 4 ½" round barrel. Produced by the Nagoya Arsenals' Toriimatsu Factory, this pistol belongs to the 2nd Series and features the enlarged trigger guard, adopted mid-war to accommodate gloved use in colder climates. Serial numbers are matching, including the frame, slide, grips, and magazine. The firing pin is unmarked; a detail sometimes observed in late-war production. The pistol retains the majority of its original late-war finish, with light thinning noted on the barrel. Wooden grips are in very good condition, showing only minimal handling marks. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A well-preserved and complete example of a late WWII Type 14
