Description:
Handsome and great handling lightweight 12 gauge Ferlib boxlock with a scalloped frame and fabulous game scene and floral engraving by Master Engraver Bregoli. The right side of the frame features a partridge in flight; the bottom a woodcock, and the left side depicts waterfowl. The fences other parts of the action body are elaborately engraved in a deep cut floral pattern. Made in 1989 this lightweight upland double made by one of the storied Italian gunmakers is in great mechanical and cosmetic condition. It has a very nicely figured European walnut stock with fine line checkering. Double triggers, auto ejectors, and auto safety. Easy to carry for a day afield at 6lb 6oz.
The 28” barrels are chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells and are topped by a raised solid tapered hand crosshatched rib. The top of the left barrel is inscribed “ Ferlib Gardone V.T. Italy”. The bores are shiny and bright and the bluing is in good condition. The right barrel is bored 0.730 with a constriction of 0.015 for Light Modified choke. The left barrel is also bored 0.0730 and has a constriction of 0.025 for Improved Modified choke.
The straight grip stock and splinter forearm are made of nicely figured European walnut with fine line checkering. The finish is in good condition but there are a few minor handling marks from normal usage. The stock dimensions are 14” including a 5/8” recoil pad by 1-1/4” by 1-5/8”. Cast off for the righthanded shooter.
Twelve gauge firepower in a lightweight frame that is beautifully game scene engraved. Great handling upland gun. Don’t wait too long.
