MILLER-WILSON "A10" all Stainless and Billet 7.62x51 (.308) 16" Barrel Rifle.
After more than three years of R&D, JM WEAPONS, LLC introduces its first generation AR-10 weapon built on a FORM follows FUNCTION principle engineering and metalurgy.
Developed for LAW ENFORCEMENT, Special Ops and ESTATE Defense, this is a MISSION focused rifle, designed and built by a master tool maker of 40 years precision manufacturing experience, and requires over 40 hours to build. Aimed at longevity, accuracy, and repeatabilty where EFFICIENCY in firepower rules.
STAINLESS steel barrels have 40% the thermal conductivity of CARBON steel barrels; meaning carbon heats up two and a half times faster. Stainless steel barrels typically handle two and half times more consecutive ammo before reaching the same temperature as a Carbon Barrel. Accuracy, Point Of Impact (POI) and cycle times under high stress use of the weapon are more flexible and forgiving by the stainless platform over carbon. This gun also incorporates stainless gas block and titanium muzzle brake to maintain balanced thermal expansion integrity with the barrel, to mitigate "swell" gaps from high rate of fire use.
For the above reason, the MILLER-WILSON "A4" (5.56) and "A10" (7.62) were desgined from a clean sheet of paper in 2021, beginning with the proven Wilson Stainless barrel. Then, the Stainless sub-MOA Wilson Barrels are disassembled to receive a modified and proprietary Black Nitride treatment; and re-fitted using an efficient titanium muzzle brake and custom stainless gas block with JM's proprietary "Z-Entry" gas porting to minimize carbon build up in the tube and provide easy cleaning. The M4 Feed Ramps are re-indexed then "port and polished" by hand, following the post process treatement so the jacket of every bullet enters the chamber without being scratched by the M4's machined edges, eliminating this extra parasitic drag and maintaining bullet spin integrity and long range accuracy, while mitigating occasional feed jams.
In keeping with the elements operational integrity, like salt water air and tropical environment, all mounting hardware, springs and function controls are stainless steel too; hand fitted, filed, polished or blended to provide a seamless integration with the user's operation. Wilson's premium flip up sights, collapsing stock and handguards are selected in conjuction with custom solid stainless buffer and with matched spring to dampen recoil, maintain high rate cycling and tolerate suppressing.
The Wilson Combat billet upper and lower receivers are precision matched by JM and hand fitted, where as many as five or six components are rejected before achieving the barrel to receiver and upper to lower fit JM requires. Bolt Carrier Group is the best in the industry, made right here in Florida, and pre-tested and inspected to fit as needed. Firing pin has been modified. Modular Fire Control is Wilson's best, sniper touch tuned.
