Description:
"Original WW1 Winchester bayonet made for the 1897 Trench gun as well as the 1917 rifles. 17" blade 21.5" OAL with wood scales. Blade dated 1917 and marked with the W inside a circle on one side of the ricasso and US with an ordnance bomb and proof marks on the opposite. Original leather sheath with metal tip marked GF and the leather hanger which the marking has worn off. Normal wear and some light pitting on the guard but overall an honest issued WW1 bayonet in good solid condition.
