Excellent and completely original PRE WAR Model 70 in the venerable 30-06 caliber.
S/N 37672 with matching scribed bolt made in 1941.
24" standard weight barrel with an excellent bore, along with crisp and proper mechanics.
All original finishes and components throughout, showing very light wear and handling marks but no significant detractors.
Beautiful wood with a rich color and some nice vertical barring in the grain.
The rear receiver bridge remains intact (undrilled and unrepaired). There are no non-factory holes in this rifle.
A very hard to find, unmolested Pre War 70, chambered in one of the world's most popular and versatile calibers, which remains in completely original and very collectible condition.
