Description:
This custom .40 caliber percussion “Chunk/Target” gun was made by Karl Wilburn in 1985. It has a Wm Large 51” x 1-1/16” browned octagon barrel with 1:52 twist and fitted with a fixed rear sight and globe front sight. The bore is in good condition with clean sharp rifling. Stamped on the top flat is 1985 Karl Wilburn No 3 and on the left flat “Old Maids Dream” “For Col Karl Wilburn From Ma & Girls X-mas 1983” and WM Large JJJJ L. The P++ Maple full stock is mounted with a mix of browned and un-browned steel furniture. The browned Bob Roller #04 Hawken style percussion lock is activated by Deer Creek double set triggers. Overall length is 68”, length of pull is 14”, and the weight is 18.4 lbs. Good wood to metal fit. Condition: Very Good. Made by Karl Wilburn - 1985
