Standard configuration Colt New Service, with 6" barrel, fixed sights, with two-line address and patent markings on top of the barrel, caliber markings on the left, "VP" and "4" on the trigger guard and the Rampant Colt on the sideplate. Fitted with checkered Colt medallion grips. Manufactured in 1937. A perfect companion to the commonly encountered "Shooting Master" in the same caliber, that was made during the same time frame. Synopsis: Beautiful Colt New Service, .38 Special, Wood Grips, Pre War. Condition: Excellent, with 98+% original blue finish, a spot on the right side of frame as carefully photographed. Extremely faint cylinder ring that does not break the finish. Comparable condition grips. Mirror bore.
