Description:

Standard configuration Steel Frame Smith & Wesson 559 , cal. 9mm, 4” hard chrome plated barrel having serrated Baughman ramped front sight and fully adjustable rear sight with protective side "ears" and slide mounted safety/de-cocker. Of the 10,000+ Model 559 produced from 1980-1982, about 200 to 250 were produced with the short Model 39-2 extractor as per this pistol. The remaining guns used a shorter and wider extractor than the model 39-2 style. Left side of the slide marked "SMITH & WESSON" along with the 4 line S&W address/MADE IN USA. Full serial number and model marked on left frame. Right frame having the usual S&W logo. Caliber marked on barrel hood. Matte finish magazine along with a spare. Fitted with checkered nylon factory grips having embossed S&W logos. Complete with matching blue factory shipping box, with literature, screwdriver, and cleaning rod, whose end label references manufacturer, model, finish, SN, and barrel length.
