This particular example features the distinctive Manchurian Large Guard variation, which was developed following combat experience in Manchuria where soldiers wearing heavy winter gloves needed additional trigger guard clearance for reliable operation in harsh conditions. This excellent 1943 example was manufactured at the Nagoya Arsenal during the height of World War II and features the enlarged trigger guard that characterizes the Manchurian variant. Retains most all of its original finish with an excellent bore and functions mechanically fine throughout. Matching numbers except for the magazine, which is typical for these wartime pistols. Includes the desirable clamshell holster with loading tool and spare firing pin - accessories that significantly enhance the historical completeness of this set.
