This 7-pin sidelock over/under number 7052 was made in 1962. It has double triggers, rolled edge trigger guard, articulated front trigger, automatic ejectors, and an auto safety. Note that both the case coloring and the wood appear lighter in the photographs than they are. Presented in its leather case with maker’s label. Made for comfortable heavy volume driven game shooting weighing 7lb 8oz. Would serve admirably as a pigeon gun as well. Great mechanical and cosmetic condition. The 27” nitro steel barrels are chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells and proofed for 1-1/4” loads. The barrels are topped by a beautifully engraved Churchill-style slender tapered rib. The right side of the top barrel is inscribed “E.J. Churchill (Gunmakers) Ltd.). The left side is inscribed “Orange St Works Leicester Square London”. The bores are shiny and bright and the bluing is in very good condition as well. The lower barrel is bored 0.728 with a constriction of 0.15 for Light Modified choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.032. The upper barrel is also bored 0.728 and has a constriction of 0.015 for Light Modified choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.030. The straight hand stock and semi-beavertail forearm are made of highly figured European walnut that is strong through the wrist. The hand rubbed satiny oil finish is in great condition and ends with a brown leather recoil pad. Cast off for the righthanded shooter the stock dimensions are 15” including a 3/4” leather pad by 1-1/2” by 2-1/8”. I cannot emphasize enough how rare it is to find a Churchill over/under and the high quality of the workmanship. It would serve wonderfully as both a game gun and a pigeon gun. British over/under game guns are hard to come by. Better take advantage of this opportunity. *** Please note that the photographs are part of the description.
