An Early, Scarce, And Very Desirable Civil War Colt Model 1855 Military Rifle In Nice Untouched Condition. Early serial #2148, with all matching numbers. Made from 1856-1864. It measures 49 inches in length and it has a 31 5/16 " barrel with a .64 caliber smooth bore. The scarce rifle has nice metal and markings througout. It has clear patent dates on both the cylinder and frame. All edges are nice on the gun. All of the metal on it has a very untouched natural darkening even patina throughout. It has the correct sights and swivels on it. All of the wood on the rifle is original and fine through out with a nice even color to it. It also has nice edges on it. The rifle has a very tight and crisp action on in it. This Is A Fine & Untouched Looking Early, And Very Desirable Civil War Colt Model 1855 Military Rifle That Would be A Wonderful Addition To Any Colt Or Civil War Collection!
