An Early Civil War U.S. Military Issued 5th Model Burnside Carbine In Excellent Plus Untouched Condition. Serial # 11,264 with all matching numbers throughout. All original and complete. The carbine has excellent metal and markings throughout with crisp edges. It is fully U.S. Sub Inspected. The barrel, block, top tang, and lever all retain all of their original factory blue throughout with some light thinning on the bottom tang. The frame, hammer, and butt plate all retain their original factory case colors with the hammer having some light patina mixing in with the case colors. All screws are excellent. All of the wood on the carbine is excellent throughout with excellent edges and a wonderful color to it. There are a couple of very minor dings in it. There are two clear U.S. Inspectors Cartouches on the backside of the wood. The carbine has an excellent bore and action in it. This is An Excellent Plus Example Of A U.S. Civil War U.S. Military Issued 5th Model Burnside Carbine That Would Be A Great Addition To Any Collection!
