Payment Types Accepted: Checks, Credit Cards, PayPal Description: An Early Civil War U.S. Military Issued Starr Percussion Carbine In Fine Untouched Condition. Serial #20,577 with all matching numbers throughout. All original and complete. Made from 1862 until 1865. The carbine has fine plus metal and clear markings throughout with crisp edges. Marked on the lock, "STARR ARMS CO./YONKERS N.Y." and on the top tang behind the hammer "STARR'S PATENT/SEPT. 14TH, 1858". It is fully U.S. Sub Inspected. The barrel retains all of its original factory blue throughout it. The frame, breech, top and bottom tang retain a mix of their original factory case colors which are darkening and mixing with a natural patina. The hammer, & lever have a matching darkened natural patina on them. The brass butt plate and barrel band are fine & untouched. All of the wood on the carbine is fine throughout with fine edges and a nice even color to it. There is a light U.S. Inspectors Cartouche on the backside of the wood near the frame. The carbine has a very good bore and action in it. Starr Carbines Were Mainly Issued To "The 1st Ark., 5th Kansas, 11th Missouri, & 24th N.Y."
