Here is a very fine 12 gauge back-action sidelock ejector by Holland & Holland, built circa 1898.
The nitro-proved steel barrels are 30 inches with 2 ½ inch chambers and excellent bores (Min Wall Thickness R .024 / L .025), choked .000/.013
(about true cylinder/improved cylinder.) There is a swamped rib, and the tubes are engraved: HOLLAND & HOLLAND, 98 NEW BOND ST, LONDON. The gun locks
up tight, and the ejectors are strong and in time. The action has hints of case colors remaining, and features wonderful stylized border engraving. The screws and pins
are nitre blued. There are rotary cocking indicators. The fore-end has a Deeley & Edge patent latch release. The figured stock measures 1 5/8" x 2" x 15 1/8" including a
1" extension. (14 1/8" to the end of the original wood.) There is cast off (for a right hand shot.) The weight is 6lbs 13 oz. Comes in a Holland & Holland case and can be shipped directly to you (Pre-1898). The triggers are the best i've ever felt and with modern dimensions this should delight any fine gun enthusaist
