SIG Sauer P232 Black: technical features The P232 is a pistol with a fully metal build that uses a with a blowback system; the stainless steel, fixed barrel is 92 mm long, the recoil spring is coaxial to the barrel and the single stack steel magazine holds 7 . 380 Auto rounds. The P232 uses a direct blowback operating system with a fixed barrel, which contributes to its notable accuracy. It features a Double Action/Single Action (DA/SA) trigger with an exposed, rebounding hammer. A decocking lever on the left side allows the hammer to be safely lowered with a round in the chamber. The standard grips are rubberized, designed to be comfortable and ergonomic for enhanced control. The P232 utilizes a traditional European-style "heel" magazine release at the bottom of the grip, which some consider safer against accidental magazine drops. .380 ACP
