The Glock 45, introduced as part of Glock's Gen 5 pistol lineup, is often called a "crossover" or "hybrid-sized" pistol for its full-length grip size combined with Glock's "compact" 3.9" barrel and slide length—effectively a hybrid between the Austrian company's best-selling duty model 17 and compact/mid-size model 19. The Glock 45 came about as the model 19X was entered into the US military's combat handgun trials. Though the 19X did not ultimately win the military contracts, the new crossover pistol was attractive especially to law enforcement customers in the United States. Thus, the model 45 was born, with slight modifications to fit with LE contracts and specifications: black colorways and compatibility with the common 17-round standard Glock magazine, as opposed to the unique 19X magazine baseplates. The Glock 45 has continued to be a top-selling model for Glock, with many civilian consumers opting for the pistol for defensive and recreational purposes alike. This Austrian-made Glock 45 pistol is in overall good condition, but has some visible signs of wear. The internals are in perfect operational condition and the barrel is also in strong condition. There is visible finish wear on the edges of the barrel hood and on the ambidextrous slide lock/release levers—these, however, are very typical wear areas on many Glock pistols. This Glock 45 has plain stock plastic Glock sights installed and all stock internals. The gun has an OEM medium backstrap installed with the extended beavertail. No other backstraps are included with this handgun. However, the factory hard case is sold with this pistol, as well as including two OEM 17-round magazines—one a Gen 5 magazine with orange follower, one a Gen 4 magazine. 9mm Parabellum
