The KKW rifle were a Mauser/BSW/Walther design. Simson Aka BSW made this particular rifle. KKW replaced the early designed DSM 34 and the BSW 625W rifles. Simson was Jewish owned company and was "Nationalized" by the Nazi Party in the late 1930's and operated under the name BSW and Gustloff until the end of WW2. This particular rifle is in one of the earlier production runs with ruoghly on 20,000 BSW marked rifles being produced prior to the namew change to Gustloff. Production was likely late 1938 or early 39. Rifle is in excellent condtion with matching numbered stock and handgaurd which are both marked inside the wood. The rare SA NSDAP (Sturm Abteilung Natioanlsozialistche Deutsche Arbetiterpartei) i.e. the militray wing of the Nazi Party Marked stock enhances the collectability of these fine .22 Pre war military trainers.
