This is a fine Browning Citori 725 Hunter Grade 1 Shotgun in 12 gauge, manufactured by Browning (Miroku) in Japan. The serial number 54278ZW confirms production in 2014, as verified by Browning’s serialization records for the Citori 725 series. Introduced in 2012, the Citori 725 is an evolution of John M. Browning’s legendary B25 Superposed, featuring a low-profile receiver and FireLite mechanical trigger for enhanced performance. The Hunter Grade 1 is designed for field use, with a coin-finished receiver adorned with game scene engravings, making it both functional and elegant. The 3" chambers and Invector choke system offer versatility for upland game and sporting clays, Its historical significance lies in its modern reinterpretation of the classic Superposed design, combining Browning’s heritage with contemporary engineering for hunters and shooters.

This example is in very fine overall condition, retaining most of its factory blue and coin finishes, with bright bores indicating minimal use and excellent maintenance. The walnut stock, with a 15" LOP, 1 1/2" DAC, 2 1/4" DAH, and 3mm cast-on at the heel, shows light handling marks, though the recoil pad is deteriorated and may need replacement. The 28" vent rib barrels, equipped with the Invector choke system, are in excellent condition, and the single selective trigger and automatic ejectors function flawlessly. Mechanically excellent, this shotgun is ready for the field or display. All markings, including the game scene engravings, are crisp and legible.

Note: The deteriorated recoil pad may require replacement for optimal field use; consult a gunsmith for proper fitting.
