Here we present a C&R Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle, made in 1903 in New Haven, Connecticut. The Winchester Model 1894, one of John Moses Browning’s most impressive designs, became a true icon in American hunting and shooting circles. Introduced in 1894, it was the first Winchester rifle built to handle smokeless powder, making it more powerful and reliable. Over the years, more than 7.5 million were made, and it’s still a favorite among hunters today.
The Winchester Model 1894 is widely regarded as a classic “cowboy gun.” Its dependable lever-action mechanism, ruggedness, and adaptability made it a favorite among cowboys, ranchers, and frontiersmen during the late 1800s and early 1900s. Its manageable size and simplicity further established it as one of the most iconic firearms of the American West.
