This Perazzi MX8, produced in 2008, is a competition-grade over/under built with the hallmarks of the Italian maker’s precision and balance. It features a detachable trigger group with a single non-selective trigger, adjustable trigger position, strong ejectors, and a non-automatic safety. Chambered for 3" shells, it is fitted with 27.5" barrels and comes with an impressive Teague choke set: seven flush-mount and three extended ported tubes, housed in Teague cases with a key. The sighting plane is an 11mm wide, matted, ventilated straight rib topped by a red fiber optic front bead for quick target acquisition.
Dimensions include 1.375" drop at comb, 2" drop at heel, and a 15"–15.5" length of pull thanks to the adjustable trigger position. The overall weight is 7 lbs 14 oz, giving the gun excellent handling for clays competition.
Condition is good overall, showing honest wear consistent with age and use. The bores are clear, the action locks up tight and cycles smoothly, the ejectors are strong and in-time, and the trigger breaks crisp. Both barrels and action retain about 95% of their original blued finish, with light thinning at the high points.
The deluxe walnut stock and forend are configured in a target-shooting style, with a right-handed palm swell and sharp checkering. The forend is a fuller, competition-style design. The stock has been extended with a 1.5" pad, and both stock and forend show normal handling marks from use.
This MX8 comes housed in a factory Perazzi-marked Negrini case with paperwork and accessories. Altogether, it is a top-tier competition-ready shotgun, enhanced with a full complement of premium Teague chokes, and built with the precision and durability that has made the MX8 one of the most dominant designs in the clay target world.
