Description:
For sale is a Winchester Early 2nd Model 1873 Deluxe lever action rifle chambered in .44-40 Winchester. It features a color case hardened receiver, 24" blued octagon barrel with globe front & buckhorn rear sights, Winchester Model 62B tang sight, half magazine, plain trigger and checkered pistol grip stock & forearm with rifle buttplate. The case coloring is strong on both the receiver and buttplate. Mechanically, everything is in order along with the bore being bright & shiny. The stocks fit tight to the frame, have clean checkering and show a beautiful grain. There are no checks, cracks or scratches present. It was received in the warehouse on December 01, 1879 and shipped December 02, 1879. The rifle was sent back to the factory for a Repair and Return on August 01, 1896. A letter will accompany this rifle and more photos are available upon request.
