"Serial No. 75452, made in 1877, .45-70, 22"" round barrel. Bore has light frosting visible in the grooves otherwise remains shiny with strong rifling. Barrel is a smooth brown patina, lock plate and high arch breech are a grey patina. Stock is in excellent condition with sharp cartouches and minimal handling wear noted. Trigger guard is stamped with ""G 9 CAV.Y 33"". The 9th Cav. fought in many campaigns against the Sioux, Apache, Utes and Comanches. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
