"SN: V617154. British military contract revolver made by Smith and Wesson in 1944. Standard 5"" barrel with 6-shot .38 S&W chamber. Good condition overall with handling marks and edge wear. About 60% of original phosphate finish with areas of brown patina. Most of the trigger and hammer case color remains. Sometimes called the .38-200, these revolvers were produced by Smith & Wesson for the armed forces of the British Commonwealth during World War II.
