"U.S. WWI issued gas mask ID'd Harold C. Knapp. Canvas bag is marked ""G.H.KNAPP/578326-""France"" it is hard to make out what is written on the bag, but it list battles that he was in. Mask is stiff with one eye glass having a crack through it. Canister has majority of its yellow paint missing with rust forming. Included is an instruction envelope and anti-dimming sticks for gas masks. The 55th Artillery Battery B. was in the Vesle sector, Oise-Aisene offensive, and the Meuse-Argonne Offensive.
