A U.S. Civil War Military Issued Joslyn Model 1864 Carbine In Very Nice Untouched Condition. Early serial #2902 with all matching numbers. The carbine has very nice, metal, markings & edges throughout. It is fully U.S. sub inspected on all parts. All of the fine metal on the carbine has a very untouched natural light and even natural patina throughout it. The metal has very fine edges to it. The trigger guard, butt plate, and barrel band have an untouched civil war period silver finish over the brass which is lightly fading in small areas. All screws are very good throughout. The original wood is fine throughout with nice edges and a nice even color to it. This carbine was most likely a state purchase. The states these went to during the war were the 4th & 8th Indiana, 19th New York, 13th Tennessee, 9th PA, 3rd West Virginia, 2nd Wisconsin, 1st Nebraska,1st Nevada, & 11th Ohio.
