"NSN, made in 1837 by Springfield Armory, .69 caliber, 42"" round proofed barrel. Barrel and other iron parts are a brown/grey patina with mottled surface oxidation visible throughout. Musket was converted from flintlock to percussion with the ""Cone"" style method. Lock plate is marked with ""Eagle/ U.S."" rear is marked ""SPRING/FIELD/1837"". Stock is very good with light handling wear visible. Action holds at half and full cock.
