"Serial No. 141237, made in 1899, .30-40 Krag, 30" round barrel. Barrel finish has thinned to a smooth brown patina, with traces of original blue visible in protected areas. Receiver and side-loading magazine door exhibit a mottled grey patina, blended with remaining blue finish, particularly on the protected surfaces. Stock shows moderate handling marks, most notably on the right side of the buttstock, reflecting honest service use. A sharp and handsome 1903-dated cartouche is clearly visible on the left side. Action is smooth and functions correctly,
