One thing that amazes us here at KTC is some of the super-advanced technology that goes into modern-day hunting rifles. This BNIB Winchester Model 70 Extreme Weather is a PERFECT example of this technological advancement. She sports a Mauser-style controlled round feed claw bolt action, typical of the pre-64 M70's in addition to a 5RD capacity, but that's about where tradition stops. The metal is a cool stainless, but not shiny. The stock is a tough-as-hell Bell & Carlson synthetic. The barrel is fluted to lighten it up and cool it down at 22"...and floating. Slap a modern MOA trigger system and a Pachmayr Decelerator Pad and you have hunting.....with an attitude. This is NOT your Grandpappy's M70....at all. In 7mm-08, she's light on the recoil, but powerful and steady enabling you to hit that deer running at 400 yards....or more, in any weather condition. This is a rifle for serious shooters and hunters alike. Hold one, you'll see.
