Offered here for sale and just acquired is a fine collectible early S&W double action auto pistol. This pistol Smith & Wesson's Model 3913, especially in brushed stainless finish with original hard rubber grips, is a fine carry pistol and still quite reliable.
The Model 3913 was introduced around 1990 as part of Smith & Wesson’s Third Generation semi-auto pistols and remained in production until the late 1990s. It was manufactured between 1990–1999. Forums and collector consensus indicate that prefixes like TE* correspond to the late 1980s to early 1990s for 3913s, although not always in strict sequential order. Given the prefix pattern and known timeframes, it's very likely this Model 3913 was built between late 1989 and early 1991, even before the widely recorded retail production range beginning in 1990.
