I am an FFL Dealer in Connecticut, as well as a collector. The business name, Warthog Arms, is derived from my Air Force service as an avionic tech on A-10 Thunderbolts (also known as the Warthog). I always strive to go the extra mile to ensure a very satisfying transaction and have an established, trustworthy reputation. I also use GB for listings so if you would like to view my feedback, you can look me up in Advanced Search under Warthog-Arms. My current rating there is A+(160). Description: For your consideration is a Browning Hi-Power semi-automatic pistol. This is the scarce Mark 2 military style with factory phosphate black finish (sometimes referred to as “parkerized”), olive drab magazine, and black nylon grips. It was intended for police and military markets. The Mark 2 was introduced in 1982 and continued until the Mark 3 came out in 1989. Manufactured in Belgium at FN Herstal in 1985, this pistol features an extended fixed barrel bushing, forged frame, fixed sights with full length solid rib, ambidextrous thumb safety and 13-round magazine. It is chambered for 9mm Luger (9x19mm). This model also introduced the “throated” feed ramp to facilitate use of JHP ammunition. It has a “drain” hole in the front of the slide below the barrel to allow use after submersion, not uncommon for military handguns. The rear sight window is wider for quick target acquisition. Interestingly, this one also has a parkerized barrel/chamber which is uncommon. It was likely intended for a military contract. The overall condition of this pistol is near new and appears to have been seldom, if ever, fired. The finish is 99% with no noticeable wear. There is a minor mark on the rear face of the slide, which is shown in the pictures. The bore is superb, mirror bright with sharp rifling. Mechanically excellent with tight, smooth action and crisp trigger. A very nice and desirable Browning Hi Power for your collection and/or shooting pleasure! Ships well-packaged for $40, additional to AK and HI. Thanks for looking! Please read the conditions below… As this is a modern firearm, it must be transferred through an FFL dealer.
