Description:
This is a very early Colts Patent powder flask for the Baby Dragoon or the 1849 Colt Pocket Model. It is a little over 2 inches wide at the widest point and 4 1/2 inches tall from the bottom to the top of the spout. It has a pleasing deep, dark patina. The spout screws off easily. The spring and gate work perfectly. All seams are tight, just as they should be. It has only light handling marks. The eagle is holding in one talon a powder flask and in the other talon a pistol. The eagle on both sides is very crisp.
