incredibly rare and beautifully hand-engraved 1971 Colt “Automatic Caliber 25” pistol, also known as the Colt Junior. Chambered in .25 ACP with a 2.25-inch barrel, this scarce all-American-made example is finished in custom nickel with blued small part accents and fitted with original factory checkered walnut grips bearing silver Colt medallions. This particular model represents the post-1968 “non-import” production, when Colt ceased Spanish importation and rebranded the pistol under the “Automatic 25” designation, making these late-production variants highly sought after.
Fully engraved by renowned Colt Master Engraver John Adams, this pistol is signed “JA” on the front strap and showcases full custom scrollwork, elevating it well beyond standard examples. It comes housed in a custom-fitted glass top wooden display case, perfectly complementing the bright nickel finish and enhancing its presentation. This is a true Colt Custom Shop-level collector piece, both in artistry and rarity, with the Adams signature adding exceptional provenance.
This pistol remains in pristine collector-grade condition, showing no signs of handling or use. The only minor distraction is a small dent in the checkering of the right grip panel.
