Description:
Here is a very nice 58 caliber kibler colonial in extra fancy maple that I finished. It features many custom embelishments that go above and beyond the simple completion of the basic rifle. The height of the butt was reduced some and the toe line straightened out more. The profile of the comb was reworked as well. A full brass domed side opening patchbox was added, similar in style to an actual Dickert example. A silver thumb piece was inlaid. Extensive carving was done al over the stock in relief also including buffalo horn inlays. The barrel is file decorated at the breech, and stamped with my name and town on the top flat. All of the metalwork was patinaed and aged using chemical methods for a very attractive look. The rifle has been sighted in and shot maybe 20 times since completion.
