1863 Dated Colt Musket ...Civil War ... LAYAWAY?
Cal 58. NSN. Standard configuration, steel clamping bands, iron furniture, 40" barrel marked at breech: "5002", "E.P.R", "STEEL", "VP" over eaglehead, "1863", three position-2 leaf blued rear sight. Lock is bright with light two-line Colt address below "U.S.", "1863" at tail. No inspection cartouches. "US" surcharge on top of buttplate. CONDITION: fFne overall, smooth polished metal overall, crisp markings other than weak lock stamps, stock is sound and sharp edges, refinished. Mechanically fine, crisp rifled shootable bore.. Ight fog on metal.
