This is a sturdy pistol that has a slightly mottled pewter gray patina with some scattered specks of plum-brown. The maker’s name is engraved on the left, "GIRDLER," with "LONDON" on the right side of the box frame. The smooth, bag-shaped walnut grip has small handling marks and blemishes scattered about the original oil finish. The action is tight and functions flawlessly, including the sliding safety catch along the back. We cannot find a listing for anyone named Girdler, but this may have been a retailer, not a maker. Nevertheless, this is a very well made pistol, and is in fine condition overall. Antique Price: $1,095.00 Antique: Yes |
