Description:
LeMat #645. This is a spectacular example of a transitional LeMat revolver, purchased by the Confederate government.  It has the typical features of this model, spur trigger guard, swiveling lanyard ring, left side loading arm mounted into the frame and the trigger selection mechanism similar to the First Models.  Less than 3,000m LeMats were made for the Confederacy and was a highly prized sidearm among the Confederate officers.  This LeMat's serial number is listed in Confederate Handguns by William Albaugh, Hugh Benet and Edward Simmons, as a known Lemat revolver, on page 120.
