MARLIN MODEL 1894 (M-’94) .25-20 OCTAGON BARREL RIFLE, #408XXX, MADE c.1909. Solid example with mottled gray/brown receiver and some good blue on the loading gate. Fine blue on the mag tube. The 24” barrel has good thinning blue mainly on the top half with better blue on the more protected bottom portions. Flat top buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar intact and small blade front sight. Generally fine+ walnut stock and forend with a little better grain in the butt stock than standard. Tight action with strong safety half-cock. Bore is only slightly dark, but it excellent and sharp. Excellent markings.
