26" barrels are choked ic and mod. 2 ½" chamber with fine bores…14 ½" length of pull over vented pad. Stock drops are 1/1/2 and 2 ¾"…Weights 6 pounds, 2 ounces, with the pad…Action is tight… Barrel blue has faded to pleasing gunmetal gray color… Gun is in overall good shooting condition…Now for the bad news…Wood exhibits multiple repaired cracks and replacement, at the forend and stock head…Wood repairs and replacement look solid and well done…This is a delightful little Philadelphia made field gun that has seen some use, abuse and repair…Keep your loads light and it should be good to go…Gunsmith advises there is enough metal in front of the chambers to safely open chambers to 2 ¾", if desired, which is highly recommended. Or shoot 2 /1/2" shells, available from RST...
