The Trailblazer Lifecard was designed by Aaron Voigt starting in 2012, with the concept taking seven years to bring to market. Voigt aimed to create a compact, card-sized, single-shot pistol as a concealed, last-ditch firearm, inspired by a desire to provide a modern alternative to older utility guns. The initial aluminum-bodied .22 LR model was released in 2017, followed by a more powerful .22 WMR version in 2019, both evolving to offer improved features like a polymer grip option and a more user-friendly barrel latch.
