Description:
Built in 1976, This example is an East German built 12 gauge side plated boxlock with 26" blued steel barrels and ejectors. The checkered solid top rib is concaved with a white front bead sight. Breech end of barrels are scroll engraved. Top of right barrel is rolled stamped "SPECIAL-GEWEHRLAUFSTAHL" while the left barrel is rolled stamped "SIMSON SUHL MADE IN GDR". Bottom of the barrels have German proof marks from the SUHL Proof House with "12/70". The right side of the rear lump has the serial number "750850". The left barrel is choked "EXTRA FULL" and the right is "FULL". The coin finish side plated action body is engraved with scrolls and game scenes. Right plate has 2 ducks in a nature scene while the left plate has 2 pheasants standing in a nature scene. The bottom of action body has scroll engraving with the symbol of the city of Suhl of a man at an anvil and blued top lever is checkered on the left side of thumbpiece and scroll engraved on the right. The receiver also has side clips, Greener cross bolt, side-mounted cocking indicator pins, automatic safety with "S" just forward of the safety, and an engraved blued trigger guard. The two piece stock set is a straight grip with reddish-orange walnut with finely cut checkering and a hard black rubber SUHL recoil plate. The LOP measures 14.5" from the front trigger to the back of the buttplate. Drop at comb is approximately 1 1/2", drop at heel 2 1/2", with about a 1/4" cast for a right hand person. 12 Gauge

Metal Condition: Minor finish wear / edge wear on the trigger guard and light scratches on the barrels. The frame is in great condition with signs of metal aging. Overall about 90% remaining.
Wood Condition: Minor dings in the stock with fine scuff marks on the finish. The checkering is in tacked. Over condition is about 955 + condition.
Bore Condition: Bright smooth bores with corrosion or budges.
Barrels: 28" barrels.
