Designed by Thomas Crossley Johnson, the Model 12 became a mainstay for hunters, sport shooters, and law enforcement alike thanks to its smooth action, robust build, and unmatched reliability. This particular example, manufactured in 1923, is an early production model showcasing the craftsmanship and fit-and-finish that made the Model 12 a legend. Built for performance and beauty, it represents the golden era of American shotgun production. Shotgun Description: This Winchester Model 12 features a 32-inch solid rib barrel, chambered for 12 Gauge, 2¾" shells, choked FULL, ideal for waterfowl or trap shooting. The shotgun has been refinished at some point, and the barrel bluing appears factory-grade, exhibiting a consistent deep gloss with no visible handling marks—a high-quality restoration or possibly a factory refinish. The serial number is stamped on the bottom front of the receiver and also just forward on the barrel, which is correct for this production period.
