Description:
This post-war Super .38 pistol was made in 1948 with a 5" barrel. The right side of the slide is marked "COLT", "SUPER 38 / AUTOMATIC" with the rampant Colt logo. The left side of the slide is marked "COLTS MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.". The right frame is marked "63368". The left of the trigger guard has a "5 / VP" in triangle, and the right side has "49" on the front. The bottom of the barrel is marked "B" in front of the lug. The front sight is a fixed blade and the rear is a "U"-notch dovetailed to the rear of the slide. The grips are two-piece checkered brown plastic with reinforcement rings around the screws. This gun is in very good condition and shows signs of having been refinished at some point in its life. No box or accessories. None
