Description:
This is a rare, outstanding condition Colts Patent powder flask often found with the Colt Root or the engraved, cased, 1849 Colt Pocket Model. It has a beautiful, deep brown, copper patina. It measures 4 5/8 inches tall from the bottom to the top of the spout and 2 1/8 inches at the widest point. The old, beveled spring and gate work beautifully, just as they should. The spout screws off easily. All seams are tight, both sides and bottom. There are only slight handling marks on this flask that are hard-to-see but I want to mention them. The details remain very good. This flask is ready to drop right in with a nice cased Colt or to enhance any Civil War collection.
