Description:
28 inch octagon barrel is marked "38" on the bottom just ahead of the forearm. Sporting sights. Fancy grain walnut stocks with the forearm featuring a metal schnable end and the matching straight grip buttstock fitted with crescent rifle buttplate. The full serial number is marked on the lower tang, bottom of the barrel, rear face of the forearm, front face of the buttstock, and the back side of the buttplate. Near excellent condition overall as lightly refreshed. Barrel shows about 70% original finish with some scattered spotting and light handling marks.. Near excellent bore that is bright and shiny with strong rifling. The Color case hardened frame shows about 75% original case colors with the balance fading towards a mottled gray patina. Stocks are clean and smooth showing a light coat of finish added. Very nice rifle!
