The Winchester Model 62 was introduced in 1932 as a successor to the Model 1906, combining classic styling with improved design and versatility. This manually operated pump-action takedown rifle was chambered to fire .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle interchangeably, making it a favorite among small-game hunters, plinkers, and farm owners. Its light weight, smooth action, and rugged reliability helped secure its place as one of Winchester’s most beloved rimfire rifles.
Manufactured in 1940, this rifle comes from the pre-WWII production era—widely regarded as a high point in Winchester craftsmanship.

Rifle Description:
This Winchester Model 62 is a well-preserved example of classic American gunmaking. It features a 23-inch blued barrel and matching blued receiver, with a takedown design for easy transport and cleaning. The rifle is chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle, making it highly versatile for target shooting or small game hunting.
  • The barrel retains strong original blue, showing some very light speckling and light handling marks.
  • The bore is shiny with good rifling, indicating a well-maintained interior.
  • The pump/slide action is mechanically solid, offering smooth cycling and solid lock-up.
  • Sighting is provided by a classic adjustable rear notch sight and dovetailed front bead sight.
The hardwood straight wrist buttstock and corn cob forearm display a nice smooth finish, showing light finish fading and light to moderate handling marks, consistent with respectful use over its 80+ year life. The receiver finish also shows light wear and handling marks, adding to its honest vintage appearance.
With a 13½" length of pull (LOP), the rifle offers a traditional and comfortable fit for most shooters.
