Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this Colt second generation New Frontier Single Action Army. Serial number 3921NF, this SAA was manufactured in 1963. The New Frontier differs from the standard SAA as it a target Model that features an adjustable rear sight and a ramp front sight. The gun has some holster wear on the muzzle and cylinder leading edges, righteous wear for a gun that was carried and not relegated to life in a safe! The receiver retains 99% vivid factory case color. The bore is mirror like, and the screws excellent. There are some handling marks on the Walnut grips. This gun is chambered for the famous .357 Magnum round which also means this gun can chamber .38 Special as a more economical choice. Capitalizing upon the presidential campaign slogan of JFK in 1960 (‘We stand at the edge of a New Frontier’), the Colt New Frontiers were produced between 1961 and 1974 with approximately 4,200 SAA being chambered for .357 Magnum (The Standard catalogue of Colt Firearms). Colt Single Action Army revolvers have proven to be highly collectible; this fine piece would be a welcome addition to any Colt collection and a great shooter and is priced to sell.
