Ithaca 5E Single Barrel Trap 12 gauge. Made circa 1962 and thought to originate from the collection of gunsmith and competition shooter Dan Phinney, serial 404949 has a 32-inch barrel (full choke, matted vent rib with double beads, 2.75-inch, ejector. Features include a color case receiver, live action (no safety) and a checkered trigger face. STOCK: Crafted from a AAA-grade walnut blank with sunburst figure, formalities include fine wrap checkering with ribboned fleur accents, ebony grip cap and Kick-Eez recoil pad. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 8.6 pounds. Length-of-pull is 14.5 inches, drops are 1.4 and 1.6 inches, and cast off is approximately .30-inch. CONDITION: The bore is strong and bright. Barrel is full on face. The ejector kicks like a turpentined cat. Rust blue is approximately 80 percent. Colors are approximately 60 percent. Wood is approximately 90 percent. The price is firm and layaway is available. $1,750 plus shipping.
